Coaching Mission:  Brian strives to see athletes be the best they can and want to be. He wants athletes to succeed in the gym, on the racecourse, and in life. He believes that each of us has the ability to feel better and interact more efficiently with their environment by making calculated improvements in their fitness levels.

Although relatively new to the “professional” training environment (training clients professionally since 2009), Brian brings a wealth of athletic experience to Practical Coaching and is committed to achieving excellence as a both a trainer and a coach.

His life’s journey has transformed him from an obese Midwestern “fat kid” to a well-rounded and vibrant athlete. He understands struggling with weight issues and the fallout of a sedentary lifestyle. He holds himself to the highest of professional standards and will continually challenge athletes with results-oriented, empirically-based training techniques. Brian’s academic background and exposure to a variety of athletic and training disciplines allows him to bring both scientifically sound and creative training ideas to the athlete looking to progress in the sport and beyond. His athletes can always expect the best from him and in turn, he will expect the best from them!
